Your Chianti wine tour begins with pick up at  8.30 am , from your accommodation in Florence where your driver will meet you. From there you’ll set  off to spend a half-day touring the beautiful Tuscan hills in the comfort of your private Ac Mercedes Van .The Chianti region is famous for its wines which they have made for centuries. You’ll have the opportunity during your tour to taste some of the best examples of these historic wines!

Your first stop is at Castello di Verrazzano, a prestigious vineyard named for the ancient Etruscan and Roman castle that has stood on this winemaking territory for 1,000 years! In the heart of the Chianti Classico area, this 52 hectare estate makes some of the best examples of this famous red wine. You’ll spend 1.5 hours touring the castle gardens, ancient wine cellars, and tasting their finest Chianti Classico DOCG wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegars as well.

After your visit to Castello di Verrazzano, your chauffeur will drive you through the Chianti’s small roads and lovely hills to your next stop, a charming Farmhouse . This local family run winery specialise in Chianti Classico and here you’ll have the chance to eat lunch with fresh local cuisine served of course with their very own Chianti wines!

After the visit ,the tour will continue with your private driver to Greve in Chianti, an historical crossroad of pilgrims and merchants among the valleys. A stop to the main square of Piazza Matteotti, the time to have a walk under the open porches and some shopping of wine, oil, cheese and other local products. Just a few kms away from Greve in Chianti you will then visit the village of Montefioralle, overlooking vineyards and olive trees. The tiny village was in the past an important center along the Via Francigena, a pilgrims road, used to connect France with the Vatican.     At the end of the day, the tour will conclude and your private driver will take you back to your hotel in Florence.
