This Tour has been designed for those who wish to enjoy a complete overview of Florence and the beautiful Region in one day !

The Driver will pick you up at 7.00 am, from your hotel in Rome, Upon our arrival in Florence, the first stop will be at Michelangelo’s Square for a beautiful view on the hills overlooking the city. Then we will descend down the hill that and cross the River Arno .When you arrive in the city centre, make your way to the Accademy where the original David by Michelangelo is located (since you have reservations, you will be able to avoid the lines ).The sculpture has been housed here since 1873, when it was moved from its previous outdoor location onPiazza della Signoria. This is the most important square in Florence, where we will see also the Palazzo Vecchio.This historic building was the centre of political city life in the 13 Century. Next stop will be the Basilica of Santa Maria de Fiore.This cathedral, was the largest in Europe when it was completed, with room for 30,000 people. It is noted for its high, octagonal-ribbed dome, that is Brunelleschi’s most famous masterpiece. The Basilica has 16 chapels, many adorned with frescoes painted by Giotto and his students. Here the former Franciscan dormitory is now the leather school where you can view leather artisans make leather goods sold right next door. Then head to the Baptistery with its famous bronze gates, before coming to the Basilica di Santa Croce, where Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, and many others famous people are buried. The legend says was found by St. Frances, himself. We continue our visit to Ponte Vecchio, the symbol of the city,also known as the golden bridge for its numerous jewellery shops..Between one stop and another you will have a break for lunch at the restaurant with the opportunity to taste typical local dishes with an excellent bottle of Red wine. After lunch,you will have the opportunity to see some of the workshops of leather and visit the craftsmen and then we are headed back to Rome.The Return to your Hotel will be around 6,00 p.m.
