Truffle Hunting Tour Itinerary :

It is the tailor made tour,designed to escape from the big cities to fully enjoy

the traditions, atmosphere, sights and sounds of country life on our farm,

forest and traditional village in Umbria.

Experience amazing cuisine, truffle dogs, incredible scenery,

the poetic life of an Umbrian shepherd, loads of local wine,

taste homemade Pecorino cheese like you never have,

and be treated to the welcoming hospitality of an Italian family.

This nice adventure is an easy day trip from Rome

(8.00 am pick up time suggested) and a great way to take a relaxing day out

of your Rome vacation and experience some traditional Italian culture and cuisine.

It’s only a 2 hour private transfer from Rome, your Truffle Hunting tour starts from

the mountain village called Pettino in the region Umbria,

nestled among the beautiful rolling hills and valleys where you’ll hunting black and white truffles.

With an expert truffle hunter we comb the truffle-rich forests and pastures,

following his highly trained dogs as they hunt.

There are amazing views to be had in every direction as we stroll the countryside.

When we have enough truffles for lunch, we stop in a really panoramic spot and

have your first taste of a freshly dug truffle and a glass or two of Prosecco.

Then we sit down to a big traditional Umbrian mountain lunch where all our recipes have a ‘wild’ flavor:

maybe  stew, roast guinea fowl, stuffed duck or rabbit.

Family and friends from the village join us for a relaxing, fun and totally authentic lunch.

The  Truffle Hunting day is great for couples, families with kids and people of all ages.

It’s great for foodies and wine-lovers, or for anyone just wanting to immerse themselves in the landscapes.
